Great covers in rock and metal music No.1

We are starting with some some great covers, some of them are quite famous, even better known then the original, and some of them are quite unknown... Jimi Hendrix made a great cover of Dylan's All along the watchtower, even Dylan admitting it the best, Metallica brought Thin Lizzy's rock version of old Irish folk song back in spotlight, giving it metal overtones. Very few people are actually aware that I fought the law (The Clash) and Ain't no love in the heart of the city (Whitesnake) are actually covers, and for those who didn't hear it already, enjoy this great soulful Steve Lukather's interpretation of Little Wing...

Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan)

Metallica - Whiskey in the jar (Thin Lizzy, Irish folk song)

The Clash - I Fought the Law (Sonny Curtis of The Crickets, later The Bobby Fuller Four)

Toto (Steve Lukather) - Little Wing (Jimi Hendrix)

Whitesnake - Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City (Bobby "Blue" Bland)

More to come...
